Full Marathon

The full marathon kicks off at Kalchakra Maidan – an open space near the Mahabodhi Temple premises which is mostly used to organize Buddhist congregations. The marathon route is on the Gaya-Dhobi road and along a road on the foothills of the Brahmayoni where the Buddha is believed to have delivered fire sermon. After crossing Falgu River, the marathon route goes to the foothills of Dhungehshwari caves and then runs along the river before crossing the river to reach Saraswati. From there, it goes to the Sujata Stupa and Sujata Temple before crossing a tributary of Falgu River. The marathon will conclude at the Mahabodhi Temple complex.
